If you've never played Phantom Abyss before, now is the perfect time to check it out, and likewise if you haven't played since early in the EA launch, there's a reason to return to it again. But, if you've been routinely playing this game for the past 18 months, you'll likely be a little disappointed that the 1.0 debut didn't come with a bit more meat on its bones, if you will.
There are three modes to play. Adventure allows players to find relics and earn reputation points. Classic mode is a rogue-like one where temples become increasingly difficult as you get farther in.
There's also a new daily mode, delivering a steady stream of challenges with specific equipment and conditions to best alongside everyone else.

Phantom Abyss requested you to run a gauntlet though, as fast as you could. We descended into Phantom Abyss and quite enjoyed what was on offer.

With the Ice Whip, however, so long as you have the Icy Feet curse still enabled, you can use the momentum of your slide to boost your horizontal distance. Slide, let go of all keys and then quickly crouch and jump while you still have momentum.
And don't forget, that if you get reset to the front of a room because of a crush or fall, then the guardian is that much closer, or possibly where you will respawn and thus it will end your Phantom Abyss run.

If you’re a fan of retro platformers, then this action-adventure game may still be worth checking out, but, unless you have a burning desire to play, it’s hard to fully recommend
